1/4 Century Birthday Banquet

Good afternoon!

Hope you've all been well. Life quite good at the moment - I've actually tidied my room! *wow*. haha but about time cos the landlady will be bringing people around to see the room soon. Only a swift vacuum left then it'll all be done... well kinda - I still haven't thrown anything out! And I definitely need to... moving is going to be such a pain!

House hunting is slightly paused at the moment. Rob and I suggested that our 4 (or 5) person house hunting group split in two. Should make it much easier for us all to find places - there's so few 5 bed places on offer! So at the start of April I'll be moving to Rob's place near City Airport, then when we get kicked out of there on the 24th of April we'll move into our next place - probably somewhere near Canada Water? Seems quite nice... with completely different housing than I've been in up until now. A change is as good as a holiday, they say...

But there are holidays in the works too. Next week I'll be zipping somewhere with Shane for one of the easter days... and partying the night away. On Easter Monday there's a country walk with Martin and the timeout walk books gang. And Mum's flight is sorted out now - she's coming on the 17th of May and leaves on the 5th of June, and one of the three weeks we'll zip off to Italy. Sure the couple of months between now and then will fly.

This weekend has been excellent - Friday night I sat with Phil and Andrea chatting outside! The weather is getting nicer... now and then. Has been ages since I made use of our garden! Yesterday I went into the city and had brekky with Claire in the sun, then after sorting out this airline ticket I headed back to Blackheath to meet up with James & Fiona and their friends. They're getting married in a few weeks - due to the presence of quite a few little ones we were throwing frisbees in the park rather than drinking in the pub - was nice to be out in the sun though. I'm really not used to having little kids around anymore!

Last night I headed up to Joe's 26th at Loop on Dering St. It was quite a lively place, and our Mr Cannon does have cool friends. Am a bit croaky today though... am trying to recover my voice for my dinner though!

Tonight... I'm dragging nearly 30 people to Sarastro on Drury Lane. Most of them have no idea what the place is like, so should be an entertaining evening! I've got some people coming up from Guilford which is really great, and will have a chance to introduce some groups of people that I think will get along really well! I'm really looking forward to it!

So... back to the vacuuming for a bit. Thanks for all the birtday calls and stuff in the post :-)

Hello Sam, I was glad to hear you had a really good birthday. House hunting can be very frustrating and annoying - the houses don't seem to be available when you're looking for them and when you aren't looking, they seem to pop up everywhere - Murphy's :-) I hope you have a great visit with your Mum - Italy... Mmmm what a wonderful place to visit. Your Dad and I look forward to seeing you later this year.Take care of yourself and good luck with the house hunting!
