Summer in London 2004
Finally more pictures! I've been so busy doing stuff that I haven't had enough time to sort out uploading them. This time I decided to do tons of collages, partly because as an unemployed bum I have time :-) and also cos it's quite fun!
Pictures of Eastern Europe, Yorkshire and Bozen/Bolzano to follow.
Sun at Tate Modern
Olafur Eliasson's giant sun was erected as part of the
Weather Project at Tate Modern. You might be able to spot me as one of the lying bods if you look closely.

Birthday Parties
My birthday wasn't that interesting this year, but it's nice to be invited to various shindigs of other people. On the menu was tappas at Beth's, fancy Italian at Phil's and cake outdoors at Tim's!

Roaming Oxfordshire with the Fergusons
I caught up with Liz and Jim just after Easter this year. Just worked out that they are my first cousins twice removed (and their children, who I have yet to meet, are second cousins once removed! arghh confusing!). The piccys are from Stratford-Upon-Avon (read - Shakespeare lived here) and Oxford. The wedding invite is the one that Liz's parents received for the wedding of my great grandparents in 1926!

Roaming Cambridge with George
Cambridge was fun - It was a really nice day, well when I wasn't punting us into trees! Ended up missing the train home and had to crash on the floor at one of George's friend's place.

Lisa and Muriel Leaving London
Tis quite sad when people leave - but a bit of a common occurance when you are or meet travellers. Lisa has started work as a ballet teacher in Dubai, and Muriel is probably in Australia by now, doing ethnomusicology research with tribal Aboriginal people in the desert!

Sam leaving teaching
There were tons of going away partys when I left teaching. Was really great to go out and about with collegues - to somewhere other than the local!

Partying at Cargo
An *excellent* club near Hoxton Sq. There was this excellent funky blues band, the lead singer was also playing harmonica... they had furry drums! And we went a bit crazy. I really like the err-whaa picture... have no idea who the girl is!

Partying with thousands
Tis quite amazing to party with 50,000 people! The Isle of Wight festival was excellent, as was the flag waving at Proms in the Park.

Hey Sammy,
Sounds like you're having more good times and exploring the world, i like it.
One small problem with your translation links. I tried to translate the pictures you uploaded into French and found not one beret anywhere. If i were you i'd write to babelfish and complain.
Have a good one mate.
p.s - thanks for the birthday wishes, Shaz and I had a great night.
