Leaving Budapest
BUDAPEST

OK, perhaps I was too scathing last time.

After updating my site the other day, I slept for a few hours then went out to find some nightlife. I went by this place down the road, and it was quite dead (at 9:30pm) so I ended up at this crepe place, eating savory crepes for dinner. I got one with lots of chilli - niiice! I spent time with Paulo from Portugal and his friends... he was almost (says he, but I would say more so) hyperactive than me!

Then I went back to the club nearby - it's called Rio, it's all open air and free entry, with 4 bars and a huge dancefloor. It was so good that I stayed till 4:30am! I met some kewl Americans Rose, Brian and Bridget. We had planned to meet up yesterday for dinner, but they were no longer in their accomodation! Perhaps they took my advice and caught a night train (considering they were travelling all the way to Venice!).

So, the Americans weren't there, I had to find something else to do. I was just walking randomly and found the touristy district (which is reallly nice!) and sat down to eat and listen to a live jazz performance. I managed to find Pascal, a half-german, half-french lone traveller, and together we met Nikki and Christina, two brittish gals who are in Budapest for a music festival. We were off to Rio again, and stayed until 4:30am (again!). I'm running on 2 hours sleep, but I've checked out of my hostel and may follow Pascal to Croatia next!

:-)

Take care all.

Yo Sammy,

Just thought i'd drop in a quick comment to say hey and glad to hear you're having a good time over there doing what you do best (i.e: wandering around finding new and interesting things to do and people to talk to). Can't say i'll be heading to eastern europe in the next week or two, but will give you a buzz if i do :)

later mate
Matt
