Heyy Guys!
Ohh that reminds me. Have you ever realised how often I say "guys", to address a group of people whether they are male of female? That's something that is going to take conscious thought to change in the next couple of weeks! It doesn't really make sense in a girl's school!
Mind you, they haven't picked me up on it yet.
So yepp, I've tracked down more accomodation. It's only temporary again - for 2 months - but that means I have tons of time to look around for other accomodation, and to see whether I like the area.
It's in Lewisham - I got off the bus from the tube station to the house, and then saw that a bus to "Elmer's End" was at the bus stop as well! THat's a bus I can catch to really close to work! So I'll be saving tons of hours of sleep a week. It's more expensive - £25 more per week, but I have a double room... and realistically, the price I've been being charged in Southfields is a ridiculously good price for an amazing house! I think Toni my housemate was right... all comparisons after I've left won't be good! But the transport is good, the people were friendly, and the place was interesting... not as small or as clean (or as "safe feeling") as Southfields, but it's got more of a city feel to it.
So... I guess it's a test as to whether I like bigger or quieter parts of Outer London better. If I decide I really want a quiet part, I could always move to the far side of the school from London. Did you see the satellite photo of the school? I never realised the golf course was there! It's pretty green around here. Compare that to the southfields pic. Ohh btw I put a transparent-ish circle around where I live at the moment, and in the school pic my school is the one that is the right hand side group of buildings - the left side one is the boy's school.
Heyy they're turning the school lights off. Better leave pretty soon before I get locked in! Well, don't think that would happen, but wouldn't want to try!
Yepp so I move in next weekend. Have to remember to take photos of my house so you can see what it's like before I move out!
Yepp work.. school... is good. I taught my 3rd lesson today, tomorrow I'm going to this seminar-y thing at the Royal National Hotel... remember that one Beau? and then starting Thursday I take over *all* the year 11 classes. Ohh that'll be fun and games! At least there's only one lesson on each topic so I can just throw content at them so they can be quiet!
OK... sammy's signing off.
Btw, if you get an email from an address @lpgs.bromley.sch.uk, then it's just me. You can write to my normal address or to my new one and I'll still get the mail. I'll put some new address details up here in a week as well.
:-)
