Snow!

Hello All!

Yepp today was my 3rd day as a teacher. Quite a hectic one too - yr 8's, two sets of yr 11's, a double with the yr 7s, and then two different yr 10 groups. The last two days have also been interesting around here cos it's been snowing!

Snow is actually quite rare around here. You can tell - the girls are going crazy! I've been hit by two snowballs so far - one from boys from the school next door as I was walking here yesterday, the other as I was walking through the yard today. Some of the girls were having a laugh today as Brendon, the other Aussie IT teacher here and I were out taking photos of each other in the snow! Tomorrow we're going to transfer them to his laptop (that will eventually be mine, fingers crossed!).

Yepp so it's been good, but I need to start keeping better hours. Keep getting stuck in front of the TV. At least I bought a good book, The Tawny Man, the first of the next Robin Hobb trilogy, so that's kewl, and I have a book from Mark to read as well. I just finished Siddartha, which was really quite interesting, but I think It'll need re-reading when I'm in a philosophical mood, or when I've got someone else philosophical to discuss it with. Where are all those people??

OK. Time to go and do some shopping. When you can only buy 2 or 3 shopping bags at a time it takes so long to shop! It's really quite annoying! *sigh* oh well, at least I'm eating well, as long as I'm awake enough to do shopping - last night I had so much shopping to do but I forgot completely! Was quite annoying...

Anyways must get going - Have to walk then catch a bus, then a tram, then shop, then catch a tube, then walk :-). At least I'm earning now though!

Take care all... enjoy da summer sun!

Sam, It's Pa's birthday (his 70th) and were going into the Botanic Park to have a picnic. It's great to hear that you are seeing snow and you're making me jealous. Last time I saw snow it was at Thredbo village. Hope you're well. We love hearing your news. Gran and Pa.
