Ohh first entry for 2003!
What were you all doing?
Leave a comment to tell the world how you spent your 2002-3 New Year!
All interesting details, of course :-)
I had to work today, so my party was quite constrained... but... still ended up alright! Although I had some guy fall down the stairs, crash into me and made me spill 1/2 my double rum and coke! Grrrr! And in $AUD terms it wasn't cheap! *sigh* ... no use crying over spilt milk... or rum :.-)
Posted by Sam at January 01, 2003 07:09 PMHiya Sam!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed ringing in the New Year...even if your drink did get spilled!!! I am back in Canada and spent New Year's Eve with loads of old friends...had a really good time, but consumed a large quantity of vodka and feel a little under the weather today!!! Oh well, you live, you learn. Happy New Year, take care of you.

Posted by: Tamara on January 2, 2003 10:01 AMHey Sam,
we went out for good food, good music and good drinks at an Irish pub here in Ottawa (Darcy McGee's). It was quiet, all things considered but we had good fun with good friends. Thankfully, I went easy on the cider and was feeling pretty good yesterday. Spent the day in my jammies glued to the TV watching "Changing Rooms". Have a great New Year and keep sending those posts!
Posted by: Kate on January 2, 2003 08:54 PMHey Sambo,
Well this is just what i said in my email, for the worlds benefit :) I went to a great pool party barbeque (you can do that in Australia at this time of year...in fact, its compulsory :) And enjoyed good food, good wine, and good company, followed by plenty of hugs, kisses, and a nudey run through the streets of Perth at midnight... So all in all, a very choice bro night :)
later mate.

Hiya Sam,
I spent new years watching the fireworks in Sydney and catching up with a friend...
came back from japan a few weeks ago and I've spent the last few weeks in a temple (shaved my head and did a monastic retreat and then spent some time as a volunteer)...
It's been really intense... haven't had time to really see what you've been up to yet but i will when i get back into perth on tuesday...
hope u're well,
take care mate,

Hey Sam!
I managed to spend 3 days in Adelaide over New Years. Just enough time to catch David stepping off of the plane from a month in Thailand and to catch a glimpse of his photos. It was wet wet wet in ol' Adelaide town so it was a blessing to return to some sun in Brisbane.
While I was in Adelaide I FINALLY managed to get your URL off of my folks. Ah Ha - we have contact! So check out my own web creation (albeit severely lacking in random mumblings) and I look forward to keeping in touch.
See ya!
