I didn't want to put this entry in with others either... so I'll do 3 entries tonight.

Auschwitz isn't a *nice* place, but it's... hrmm it's hard to say why it's important. One of the first quotes you see as you walk into the building is one about how not knowing the past means you can repeat it. I don't want to talk about it too much here. All I know is I knew that there were some horrific things that went on in WWII, but I hadn't felt them until today.

Unfortunately, part of the European experience. If you want to know more details, maybe ask me for some in a week or so... there's thinking to do now. :-/
