OK a bit of a strong title... I AM safely in Warsaw... but there's a story to tell!

The tour was kewl, but we had the whole driver-breaks-arm-and-drives-us-into-ditch thing.

After getting back, I went for a walk (recoverred a towel I left behind in Edinburgh)... wrote the update you saw yesterday, and killed time until 8pm. I had dinner with camp canada + Shan + Kim at this restaurant... it was a real rush! I left with about 20 or 25 mins to get to my bus. I got there with enough time to spare, but subsequently found out that my bus didn't go through Heathrow (the travel agent where I booked said it did!) grrr! So after the 10pm till 7am bus ride, I rushed to the underground and had a 40 minute trip to get to heathrow 1hr before my flight... arghh! It was such a rush! But I made it and had time for a coffee. The plane ride was only 2 hrs long so that was OK. I left the airport, and went to the bus stop and saw the guy that was sitting next to me on the plane (we had been talking most of the trip, in amongst me trying to learn polish!). His friend ended up buying me a bus ticket (I only had 100 zloty notes) and showed me where the tourist info place was. There I picked up an incorrect map! and ended up heading towards a youth hostel that wasn't where the map said it was. arghh! So i got to practice my polish... I'd have to say that only 1 in 4 ppl here answer "yes" to "chi pan/pa-nee mo-vee po an-gel-skoo" (phonetic pronunciation of (m/f) 'do you speak english'). After a bit of pointing, discussion, and following I finally found the hostel... but they had no remaining beds! Tons of kids on excursion from other parts of Poland are supposedly staying there. Turns out I'm staying in the dining room with 2 other guys... which suits me fine - it'll be bigger than a normal room, and I don't really need a frame on my bed. And it's costing me 1/2 price - 16 zloty.. which is about $7AUD ! Considering I was paying over $40 a night in the UK this is really kewl :-)

Anyway... that was a large paragraph! I really need to eat... but I'm into my 2nd hour so I'll ask the net cafe guy if I can use my photo CD's and upload some... so if you see photos here then it's all good!

yepp... photos on CD in the UK cost me over 11 pounds... here only 10 zloty... or about $4.40AUD!
